ARCHIMEDES (Architectural Methodologies for Advanced Testing of VLSI Systems) is a ESPRIT III Project (Basic and Long Term Research) on testing. The Universities involved are Barcelona, Bologna, Grenoble, Hannover, Montpellier and Siegen. The project covers testing aspects ranging from the physical up to the system level. Bologna is involved in DFT, fault modeling and simulation tasks.
COOPERATION WITH STANFORD UNIVERSITY
This cooperation is with the group of Prof. G. De Micheli of the CIS at Stanford. The cooperation involves visting and Ph. D. students working at Stanford and it is primarily oriented to the development of simulation techniques aimed at power estimation.
COOPERATION WITH SGS-THOMSON
Prof. B. Riccó has several scientifc cooperations with SGS-Thomson , as regards the CAD group, they are related to the development of logic level simulation techniques for power and delay estimation.
