Microelectronics Research Group Activities
The activity of the Group, covering a number of issues of importance for
modern (silicon) microelectronics, with particular regard to advanced
CMOS sub-micron technologies, can be sub-divided into two main
fields, Electron Devices and Integrated Circuits.
These are considered as different aspects of a global problem, since
devices ultimately determine the performance and the reliability of the
circuits, while these latters provide target specifications for the
devices.
Furthermore, experiments and theory have always been looked as complementary
and necessary parts of the whole research of the Group.
