Bologna is extensively connected to the european railway system. From the train station, Bus #33 will get you to the faculty in ten minutes (bus stops Porta Saragozza or Aldini). There are buses every 15 minutes at most (6 minutes at peak times) from 5 AM to past midnight. A single bus ticket costs 1€, a daily ticket costs 3€, an 8-ride ticket costs 6.50€, and a monthly subscription to the bus service costs 30€.

From the Bologna Airport, a shuttle bus (BLQ Aerobus) will carry you to the train station. The ride takes approximately 20 minutes and costs 4.50€. From there, you can hop on Bus #33. By taxi, the transfer from the airport to the faculty should take at most 30 minutes (at peak times) and cost less than 20€.

From Turin and Milan (Highway A1), exit at Bologna Borgo Panigale. Follow the street signs "Centro" until you hit the inner city ring, then turn right until Porta Saragozza.
From Rome and Florence (Highway A1), exit at Bologna Casalecchio. Follow the street signs "Centro" until you hit the inner city ring, then turn right until Porta Saragozza.
From Venice (Highway A13), exit at Bologna Arcoveggio. Follow the street signs "Centro" until you hit the inner city ring, then turn right until Porta Saragozza.
From Ancona (Highway A14), exit at Bologna San Lazzaro. Follow the street signs "Centro" until you hit the inner city ring, then turn left until Porta Saragozza.
A parking exists in the faculty. To get access to it, please place your request in advance to your contact person in the Micrel Lab staff. Otherwise, some parking spots may be available (a parking fare is due) around Porta Saragozza. Access to the city centre is restricted during day time (7 AM - 8 PM) and is permanently checked by an automated camera surveillance system. Visitors can only enter the city centre if they are going to stay at an authorized hotel or leave their car in some specific parking lots: please check in advance. In this case, they must notify their license plate number to the hotel or parking manager to be whitelisted in the surveillance system database.
