Biography


Michele Favalli was born in Bologna, Italy, in 1962. Michele Favalli received the Dr. Eng. degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Bologna in 1987 and the Ph. D. in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science in 1993. In 1993 he started to work at the Department of Electronics at the University of Bologna as a Researcher. From 1998 he is Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Ferrara. His research interest are in the area of digital IC's design, simulation and tes ting, including design for testability, self-checking and fault tolerant circuit s, fault modeling and simulation, and low-power design. He is or has been reviewer for IEEE Trans. on CAD, IEEE Trans. on Computer, IEEE Journal of Solid state Circuits, IEEE Trans. on VLSI, IEEE Trans. on Circuit and Systems II, Journal of Electronic Testing, Theory and Application and IEE Proceedings, and for the major conferences in his fields of interest. In 1997 and 1998 he has been member of the program commitee of the conference PATMOS.
